The majority of these regulations came into force on 4 April 2016 however several of transitional provisions do come into force on 4 April 2018. These are summarised below in regulation 10 and 13

Reg 10 – A PCBU with management or control of a workplace who knows or ought reasonably to know that there is a risk of exposure to respirable asbestos fibres in the workplace must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that all asbestos or ACM giving rise to the risk at the workplace is identified

Reg 13 – A PCBU with management or control of the workplace must ensure that a written plan (an asbestos management plan) for the workplace is prepared

Reg 60 – Class A asbestos removal licence must provide evidence that the applicant has a certified safety management system in place.
